( Eggsy ends up taking closer to an hour to get turned around. In part it's because he wants to look nice for Sean - not like he just finished dragging himself through a pillar of back-dated reports - but it also ends up taking him twenty minutes to find a suitable dessert at the local Waitrose.
In the end he opts for fancy eclairs. Everyone likes fancy eclairs, right?
It's just coming up to seven o'clock when he finally knocks on the door, clean and casual in some of his smarter jeans, a black polo shirt, and a light jacket to keep out the cold. )
[ Because he was home, Sean was dressed much more casually in a v-neck henley and jeans but it's clear by his expression that he appreciated the effort when he opened the door for Eggsy. ]
There you are. Come in.
[ He leaned down and kissed Eggsy's forehead before he stepped back and let him in to his apartment. ]
( Eggsy smiles at the little kiss before leaning up to press one of his own against Sean's jaw. )
Great - sorry I'm a bit late. Got all distracted by the nice cakes.
( He grins, then toes out of his shoes and shrugs off his jacket before padding through to the kitchen. The eclairs need to get into the fridge right away, after all. )
It wasn't anything exciting. Mostly research, honestly.
[ He watched Eggsy while he put the eclairs away, a fond little smile on his face. It was truly a pleasure to have him over after texting back and forth most of the afternoon. He much preferred to talk in person. ]
Feel free to get yourself something to drink while I get dinner ready.
[ The pizza was cooked and in the oven staying warm. It was a more thin crust style with all those strange toppings that Eggsy mentioned he liked. He moved around the kitchen getting plates for them and napkins. ]
( Eggsy chuckles as he pokes around in the fridge, deciding on some sparkling lemonade that he finds in the door. He pulls two glasses down from the cupboard and sets them on the counter. )
You want some?
( After pouring his own, he lets the bottle hover over the second glass without actually tipping any in. )
[ He set the pizza on the kitchen island, cut it into slices and offered Eggsy a plate so he could serve himself. There was plenty of pizza for the two of them but he imagined Eggsy would want the most for himself seeing as it was specially made for him. Sean enjoyed the process, finding it very relaxing. ]
It probably wasn't. I actually enjoy research. Unlike you and paperwork.
